THE BREAST IS BLESSED MEET UP
The Mothership Institute's Breastfeeding Meet-Up is a safe and supportive space where Black mothers come together to celebrate the beauty and strength of breastfeeding within our community. Guided by experienced lactation consultants and birth doulas, the meet-up offers a nurturing environment for mothers to share their breastfeeding journeys, seek advice, and build connections with other women who understand the unique challenges and triumphs of breastfeeding.
Our meet-up is grounded in cultural empowerment and community support, with a focus on celebrating "The Breast is Blessed." Through open discussions, practical tips, and shared experiences, we aim to empower mothers to embrace their breastfeeding journey, ensuring that every mother feels confident and supported.
Cultural Empowerment:
We celebrate the unique breastfeeding experiences of Black mothers, fostering a sense of pride and cultural connection.
Community Support:
We create a safe and inclusive space where mothers can connect, share, and support one another in their breastfeeding journeys.
Education and Advocacy:
We provide evidence-based information and resources to help mothers make informed choices about breastfeeding, advocating for the health and well-being of both mother and child.
Wholistic Care:
We recognize the importance of nurturing the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—during the breastfeeding journey, offering wholistic support and guidance.
Sisterhood:
We foster a strong sense of sisterhood, where mothers uplift and encourage each other, creating lasting bonds that extend beyond the meet-up.
